The Rugby Academy Community Development Program, in partnership with our team of professional players, will begin in 2022 as a rugby programme for children in the previously disadvantaged communities of Cape Town.

Deficiencies in early childhood such as poor mental health, addiction, abuse, homelessness, gangsterism, and family breakdown are key factors contributing to the challenges faced by children in these communities. Our Community Development Program’s goal is to provide an environment of excellence to ensure that these challenges are addressed by creating opportunities for talented rugby players, where opportunities would otherwise not exist. 

Our aim is to identify 20-25 players per age group (100-125 players in total) that will form part of the development program, and provide them with opportunities, including:

• Transport
• Nutrition
• Playing Kit
